N.E.W Venture - women's entrepreneurship program is now accepting applications from newcomer and refugee women in Ontario and Quebec who are interested in starting their own business.
N.E.W Venture - women's entrepreneurship program is now accepting applications from newcomer and refugee women in Ontario and Quebec who are interested in starting their own business.
The N.E.W Venture program, led by the Syrian Canadian Foundation in partnership with Nisa Foundation, helps newcomer and refugee women develop the skills and support they need to launch their own business in Canada.
Previous participants include women who have launched product businesses including food, jewellery and fashion as well as consulting businesses in areas such as digital marketing, travel and education.
The next cohort of N.E.W Venture launches in September 2025 and we are looking for participants who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Age 18+
- Newcomer or refugee woman
- Resident of Ontario or Quebec
- CLB 5 or higher
- Existing business or business idea
- Able to commit 10+ hours/week
