Presented by Lakeshore Arts
August 07 - August 07, 2021 1-2:30pm
This event is Family Friendly.
Using an interactive game-like approach, together we retrace our past selves as we journey back through time in the form of writing. We ask you to reflect on when you immigrated to your current home and the relationships you’ve developed between here and there, now and then while acknowledging the uprooting that occurs when relocating.
This free, virtual workshop is part of Desire(d) Paths, a participatory virtual exhibition by Colectivo Satelital that invites audiences to explore systems of communication, transportation, importation and identification, particularly how these systems relate to the process of navigating national borders.
Material kits will be delivered to participants with all the necessary materials for this workshop, including origami paper and writing utensils.
Workshop led by Alejandro Rizzo Nervo & denirée isabel. Learn more and apply to participate here: https://lakeshorearts.ca/desired-paths/
