YOUNG VIOLIN VIRTUOSO KICKS OFF SINFONIA TORONTO’S NEW SEASON WITH PAGANINI

Sinfonia Toronto will open its new season on October 18 in George Weston Recital Hall at the Meridian Arts Centre (former Toronto Centre for the Arts). Nurhan Arman will conduct a program of Paganini and Dvorak. The brilliant young Austrian violinist Elisso Gogibedashvili will return for her third appearance with the orchestra, featured in Paganini’s famous Concerto No. 1. An orchestra version of Dvorak’s masterful String Quintet Op. 77 will round out the program.

Elisso Gogibedashvili has performed with the Hungarian MAV Orchestra, Janacek Philharmonic, Jerusalem Symphony, Orchestra Sinfonica di San Remo, Savaria Symphony, Northern Czech Philharmonic, Munich Symphony, Arpeggione Orchestra and many others. She made her Canadian debut with Sinfonia Toronto in 2015. She has given recitals in Austria, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and the US.
