Considered a uniquely innovative composer in his time, the music of Salamone Rossi, a musician in the court of early 17th-century Mantua’s Gonzaga family, is rarely heard today. This winter, join internationally-recognized champions of Rossi’s music and guest vocal ensemble Profeti della Quinta for an evening of his madrigals and Hebrew prayers for five male voices, theorbo, and harpsichord. Come experience the tonal beauty and authentic performance practice critics around the globe have declared “truly magnificent”.
