SINFONIA TORONTO KICKS OFF BEETHOVEN @250 YEAR
Sinfonia Toronto will play its first concert of the new year on Friday, January 17 at 8 pm in Glenn Gould Studio. Maestro Nurhan Arman will conduct an all-Beethoven program to celebrate the titan’s 250th Anniversary year. The program will include two all-time favourites, Beethoven’s Triple Concerto for Violin, Piano and Cello and his Symphony No. 6,the "Pastoral Symphony." These masterpieces will be performed in rarely-heard transcriptions for chamber orchestra. The soloists in the Triple Concerto will be Sinfonia Toronto’s Concertmaster Xiaohan Guo, Montreal pianist Zhengyu Chen and Toronto cellist Daniel Hass.
