“He plays like the devil.” — Vic Vogel, Canada
In the 1950s and 60s very few jazz artists had as much influence or were as popular as Dave Brubeck and Oscar Peterson. The Rémi Bolduc Jazz Ensemble performs the music of Brubeck featuring compositions from “Time Out” – one of the most famous and best-selling albums in the history of jazz. Rémi’s superstar lineup of the best jazz musicians from Montreal, with guest pianists Taurey Butler and Bernie Senensky also pay homage to Canada’s very own Oscar Peterson one of the most important pianists in jazz history who performed alongside iconic musicians Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.
WholeNote credits Rémi and ensemble for playing inspired roles “in bringing the melodic, harmonic and rhythmic genius [of these jazz icons] to life for us again,” and applauds their songful dialogue “which makes for an utterly breathtaking experience.”
"... Rémi Bolduc is one of our best soloists, composers and instrumentalists." - La Presse, Canada
