WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITY | JERUSALEM FILM WORKSHOP

The JFW is a six-week summer workshop based in Jerusalem where 24 of the best young filmmakers of the world are selected each year to create six high-quality short documentary films.

The Jerusalem Film Workshop is a six-week educational summer programme in Israel. The project is an intensive, immersive documentary film project, where young jewish filmmakers create a personal connection to Israel through film - capturing the people, streets and stories of Jerusalem. The Films, created with the mentorship of the best in the industry, are premiered at the prestigious Jerusalem Film Festival, followed by screenings world wide.

This endeavour, now in its 7th year, is devised by the NFCT and Green Productions - one of the largest production companies in Israel (you may recognise their films, including Scaffolding and A Quiet Heart). 

The JFW is a six-week summer workshop based in Jerusalem. 24 of the best young filmmakers of the world are selected each year to create six high-quality short documentary films. The premiere screening is held at the Jerusalem Film Festival, followed by many screenings all around the world.

The JFW is partnering with international film festivals from all around the world to exclusively offer them the JFW experience: they send one of the brightest young minds from their community, and we send them back with a story to share with their audience.

THE ALUMNI OF THE PROGRAM IS A COMMUNITY OF OVER 100 FILMMAKERS, KEEPING IN TOUCH SINCE 2014

The JFW 2019's participants were super talented filmmakers from: USA, Brazil, China, pAustralia, South Africa, Nepal, Israel, France, Uzbekistan and Poland.
