Like many artists, I started with realism and have become more abstract. I spent one year in the Adult Art Program at Central Tech as I tried to follow Malcolm Gladwell's advice. It takes 10,000 hours to become good at anything. I explored ceramics, printmaking and life drawing. Recently, Suzanne Metz and Steve Rose have taught me about mark making, trusting my intuition and losing my fears.
Thoughts About Art and Community
Through my volunteering at the Artists' Network, I am trying to build connections among artists, particularly those that face challenges, due to cost, discrimination or any other reason. Outside of the arts, I do volunteer with the Friends of Glen Stewart Ravine.
I am a visual artist. I am not offering activities. I also am a member of the Artists' Network that offers gallery opportunities and seminars re: professional practices.
