Born into a family of professional musicians, Volo started violin lessons at the age of five and the cello shortly thereafter.
With a growing interest in contemporary music, he began to perform and record world music, folk, and pop rock music, all the while exploring looping and special effects. He collaborated with professional musicians and bands, such as Moskitto Bar, Mariana Sadovska, Mark Tokar, Grammy winner Włodzimierz Pawlik, Tung & Bedzvin Duo. Volo has performed throughout his native Ukraine and toured throughout Europe and North America.
Thoughts About Art and Community
Performing for local communities, making connections with musicians, which grew in the good network and eventually become in successful projects.
In spring 2018 I did two workshops in Toronto for string music enthusiasts, which was part of my "In Canada travel" grant from Canada Council of Art.
Just yesterday, Sep 22, I was part of a multicultural band that performed at Drom Taberna and included musicians from Ukraine/Poland/Canada/Turkish/Syria/Brasil/Russia/Estonia.
I moved to Toronto in June 2018 and so far had a chance to perform for Maker Fest, Luminato Fest, Ukrainian Shevchenko Foundation "REACH Launch Event”.
I'm performing a live music with my solo project BEDZVIN.
