Born in Chile, migrated to Toronto in 1977. Studied Fine Arts at OCAD. Vibrant colors as well as strong lines are my trademarks. Mediums are watercolor, acrylic and oil.
In the early years I have worked at The Bata Show Museum Headquarters cataloging Elton Johns shoes as well as 18th Century Mules from China, and Native Moccasins.
My paintings are all about large simple, recognizable images. I like to create a blurred line between impressionistic styles, and realism in some of the images I choose to paint.
Thoughts About Art and Community
I focus on the infrastructure of Torontos waterfront. My paintings can be seen as documenting our skyline and
shoreline that gives public awareness to how much our city has cleaned parts of the Portlands and lake shore.
The public will be able to engage in a painting exercise at a Library where Culture Days has set up a venue.
