In my artwork I love to explore the beauty of the human form, spirituality and love. In my art and writing I focus on the similarities we all share in our human experience, as well as our spiritual nature.
I create paintings, sculptures as well as do performance art as well as writing poetry as well as full length novel work.
My preferred media are acrylics along with encaustic and found objects from nature on canvas, using gold leaf and incorporating my poetry into my works. I am now also creating painted sculptures using blue foam insulation as a support, which has a tremendous creative potential to explore.
I love the modern palette of colours and love rich textures, using such things as encaustic medium as well as different gel media.
I have graduated from both OCADU (then OCA) as well as the University of Guelph, and have studied sculpture at Central Technical School as well, I had the privilege of learning/working with local sculptor, Adrienne Alison on the War of 1812 Monument project that will stand on Parliament Hill (Inauguration in early November 2014).
