Ballet Folklorico Puro Mexico is a non-profit organization that was founded in May of 2003, we have been active in Toronto´s multicultural community for over 10 years and look forward to celebrating our fifteen year anniversary in 2018. The organization’s members, all share a common goal, to spread and promote Mexican culture, and works to preserve the rich heritage of traditional Mexican dance. Through research and teaching, Puro Mexico is able to reveal Mexico’s cultural diversity and beauty. Under the direction of María José Miranda and the artistic direction of Jezreel Vasquez, Ballet Folklorico Puro Mexico currently consists of eighteen dancers. The organization has been participating in various events within Ontario such as the International Stage at the Canadian National Exhibition [CNE], Mexican Fiesta in London Ontario, Hispanic Fiesta, and the Scotiabank International CHIN picnic, winning first prize within the adult folkloric dance competition in 2010.

Our goal is to provide a quality performance that exibits Mexico's cultural identity within Canada through folkloric dance.

Dance Instruction We take pride in facilitating instructional folkloric dance, free of charge. No experience required, just the passion to learn. For more information, contact us! Performance Ballet Folklorico Puro Mexico holds a repertoire of colourful traditional Mexican dances with authentic wardrobe.
