The event will combine mural, street and community art under one concrete roof, activities for community as well as watching 20+ large scale pillars murals be created The event will run from 10am-9pm on Saturday, June 20th and we will require a minimum commitment of a 4 hour shift.
Volunteering for this event involves one or more of the following:
• Assist in the execution of Live Art Festival
• Support the Project Manager, Executive Director and Artistic Directors
• Run messages to staff, participants and vendors
• Support Executive Committee by assisting the public with inquiries
• Provide direction for members of the public seeking parking areas
• Provide direction to activities on-site
• Seek staff support when/where necessary
• Prepare art creation areas with paints, etc.
• Clean up art areas
• Provide encouragement, support and guidance to members of the public in art creation
• Support facilitators
• Assist with site set up
• Assist with site tear down
Requirements for this position:
• Exceptional customer (community) service skills
• Well organized
• A love of the arts (and energy to show!)
• Some art ability is an asset
• Desire to help others
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Ability to walk miles without leaving your post
• Event management experience is an asset
