Simon Bolivar
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birthday of Simon Bolivar (liberator of six Latin American countries), a bronze bust was sculpted by artist Armando Sorondo. The Monument was presented by the Consul General of Venezuela as a gesture of friendship to Torontorians and placed on the lawns of Trinity Bellwoods Park in the heart of the city’s Hispanic distrct.
