TDSB Art Management and Production Work Placements
R. H. King Academy is offering a new Leadership program that is combined with the Ontario High Skill Major Program specializing in Art Management and Production. Students are selected from a wide area of Senior Public schools for their talent and leadership potential.
The Co-op portion of the High Skills Majors requires that students find a work placement with an Arts organization.
Normally the work session begin in mid Februray and end in mid June. Students work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 1 to 5pm and Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 11:30. Sometimes students can be fulltime, and sometimes students can be available from Mid September to mid January. It depends on the student’s abilities and performance. Most have hands on experience in tech or as performers. In almost all cases students perform at a very high level for 17 and 18 years olds.
Organizations can interview and select whomever they deem to be the best fit for the position and are required to interview potential students before they are accepted.
TDSB covers the WSIB and no payments are required.
