Senior Coordinator Position
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Planning: Identifying needs, trends and issues in the field; developing responsive programming; setting goals and priorities for the Network • Website: Creating, monitoring and updating all website content, including news, spotlights, and resources; creating website help guides as needed, member support
• Networking Sessions, Meetings and Events: Assisting with coordination and facilitation of NAN events, meeting with potential partners, community members, and researchers; meeting with NAN Advisory Committee, reporting to Toronto Arts Foundation Board as necessary
• Resource Development: Working with TAF team to develop grant applications and fundraising plans; reporting on grants
• Communications: Writing, compiling, and editing biweekly e-newsletter; developing content and layout for NAN guides, meeting notes, and directories; disseminating NAN resource packages, including Arts & Equity Toolkit; writing and editing blog posts, working with interns and guest blog writers; maintaining regular communications with network members; responding to telephone and email requests
• Staff: Managing NAN staff, interns, and volunteers
• Reporting: Creating monthly internal reports, tracking NAN activities, metrics and progress and reporting to TAF Director of Operations
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years relevant employment experience. They will possess superior writing, communication and organizational skills; excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; an ability to handle a multitude of tasks and deadlines; and a talent for working collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. They will have experience working with volunteers. Demonstrated commitment to Neighbourhood Arts Network values and direct experience working in community engaged arts practice and/or neighbourhood development are essential. Knowledge of Toronto’s community arts organizations and individuals and familiarity with trends in the field is an asset.
