Call for Nominations: ACE Awards
The Neighbourhood Arts Network is pleased to announce the launch of the Artists for Community Engagement (ACE) Awards, a new set of awards focusing on the arts, community collaboration and cultural diversity. The ACE Awards are the result of a partnership between the Neighbourhood Arts Network and the 2010 DiverseCity Fellows. Each award comes with a cash prize of $2,000. CALL FOR NOMINATIONS We invite you to submit nominations for two new awards celebrating community-engaged arts. These awards honour artists and arts groups who have made a contribution to community transformation through the arts and to the cultural diversity of Toronto. Deadline for nominations is August 5th, 2011. AWARD DESCRIPTIONS TD Bank ACE ‘Opportunity’ Award for Individual Artists A $2000 cash prize sponsored by TD Bank Group. This award celebrates an individual who has made a significant contribution by working collaboratively with culturally diverse communities in Toronto to create opportunities for youth to access and contribute to arts and culture. ICC ACE ‘Impact’ Award for Arts Organizations A $2000 cash prize sponsored by the Institute for Canadian Citizenship. This award celebrates an arts organization that has made a significant contribution/achieved a key milestone by working in partnership with Toronto’s culturally diverse communities or developing a project that reflects a culturally diverse perspective, in its form or content. HOW TO APPLY Nomination forms and supporting documents may be submitted by email, facsimile or regular mail. Nominations must be received by August 5th 2011 at 5:00pm.
