The B.E.A.T : Youth Summer Recording Program
FYI is looking for youth to participate in our summer recording arts program!
About the program: The B.E.A.T. is FYIs summer recording studio program. It is an 8 week program designed to build participants music and recording skills, to look at stereotypes and common messages (positive and negative) in music, and to reflect on the role that music plays in defining who we are.
The program will run Tuesday and Thursday every week, 4-7pm; to get the certificate participants must attend at least 13 of the 16 sessions. If a participant misses more than 3 sessions they may be asked to leave the program. Tuesday sessions will be workshops and Thursday sessions will be in the studio.
Dates: Thursday July 5 Thursday August 30
Who we are looking for: 6 to 10 youth, ages 14-19
(You dont need to have previous musical experience, just a passion for music, an open mind, and a commitment to learn!)
