Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival
About:
The Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival is a volunteer-run not-for-profit initiative that acts as a showcase for young emerging filmmakers in the Greater Toronto Area. Since 2009, the festival has provided opportunities for local youth in a professional setting and has created a network of young film, video and media artists in the Greater Toronto Area.
The festival is a growing endeavour, offering more and more events every year. The festival screening is a showcase of some of the best cinematic masterpieces this city has to offer made by young adults.
The festival also serves as a competition for participating filmmakers. Industry professionals attend the festival and provide feedback on the work shown and give out a series of awards of recognition at the Awards Gala that takes place at the end of the festival's run.
