Puppetmongers was founded in 1974 by the brother and sister team of Ann and David Powell. Dedicated to new play development, they have created 11 shows for children, families and adults, earning 5 citations of Excellence from the Union International de la Marionette and numerous other awards. The Toronto School of Puppetry was founded in 1996 and hosts workshops and classes for children and adults, as well as Master classes for experienced puppeteers and interdisciplinary artists.
