About:
Rogue and Peasant Theatre is pleased to introduce its premiere production, the historical drama, Solferino.
Solferino is an exploration of a humanitarian life, with its sacrifices, elevations and delusions. It’s 1908 and Henry Dunant, founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross, is two years from his death. Struggling with rebellious memories and the closeness of his end, the boundaries of Dunant’s reality are shifting. He is guided through this turmoil by Florence Nightingale, a fellow iconic humanitarian and Dunant’s most impassioned critic, now a fixture of his mind. She will force him to encounter his enemies and allies, his regrets, wrongs and doubts.
