Case Study

Nomanzland and the West Side Arts Hub

June 10, 2011

The West Side Arts Hub opened in 2010 in the Jane and Finch area of Toronto, as a facility for community artists and art programs. The Arts Hub provides a home for local groups like Nomanzland, a theatre program that brings together youth from different artistic backgrounds. Nomanzland encourages the use of poetry, dance and theatre to address issues that burden today's youth. Most of all, Nomanzland hopes to provide an opportunity for reclamation- of both personal voice, and local space.
