This session, designed specifically for newcomer artists, will provide information on council programs and how arts councils support artists.
Margo Charlton from Toronto Arts Council and Janice Lambrakos from Ontario Arts Council will debunk myths about arts funding and share tips/best practices for grant writing. In addition, dance artist Lua Shayenne Casu and visual artist Nahúm Flores will share stories about developing their arts practice in Canada and how they approached applying to the councils.
Attendees are invited to bring any questions that they have regarding the OAC and TAC funding process.
